pilot gas heater

FREEZ-FITER

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

Bruest Catalytic Heaters’ Freez-Fiters pilot gas heaters safely and effectively heat low volumes of gas used by pilot regulators and instruments. The gas travels through the heat exchange coil to be heated by the infrared heat. The heater’s gas train includes all the necessary instruments to operate. Optional temperature controller allows the heater to modulate the heat output to fit the demand of the application. The dual coil option adds a second heat exchange coil. This secondary coil can either be used to supply gas to a second pilot regulator or be used in series with the primary coil. Custom configurations allow the Freez-Fiter pilot gas heater to be used in wide ranging applications.

Specifications

PILOT GAS HEATER

The Freez-Fiter family of heaters operates on the same principle as all of Bruest’s Catalytic Heaters. A power supply source is required to preheat the catalytic pads. Power is applied for 15 to 20 minutes before the fuel gas is introduced. The power can be removed 10 to 15 minutes after gas valve has been opened. Power is not required during normal operation. The Freez-Fiter can be shut off by turning off the fuel gas supply.

Applications

PILOT GAS HEATER

In addition to heating pilot regulator supply gas, the Freez-Fiters are suitable for applications requiring low volume of heated gas.The Freez-Fiter S1800 and S4000 can be safely installed in hazardous locations to minimize the space required and the installation cost. With no moving parts or replacement components, the Freez-Fiter family of pilot and instrument gas heaters will provide years of worry free operation.

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

FUEL GAS HEATER

Bruest Catalytic Freez-Fiter Fuel Gas Heaters were designed to heat low to medium volume of gas with one or more catalytic heater panels to heat a serpentine process gas coil. The Freez-Fiter family of heaters is offered with high pressure regulators to reduce the inlet gas pressure to the fuel gas train, an integral filter to remove contaminants, and temperature controllers to adjust the temperature of the process gas. Bruest’s Freez-Fiter family of fuel gas heaters are great alternatives to larger fuel gas systems.

Specifications

FUEL GAS HEATER

The Freez-Fiter family of heaters operates on the same principle as all of Bruest’s Catalytic Heaters. An electric source is required to warm up the catalytic pad. Once the pads are warmed up, which should take between 15 to 20 minutes, the electric supply can be removed and the gas supply takes over. After the gas is introduced, the catalytic reaction will supply the necessary heat to continue the process.

Applications

FUEL GAS HEATER

In addition to heating pilot regulator supply gas, the Freez-Fiters fuel gas heaters are suitable for applications requiring low volume of heated gas. The Freez-Fiter fuel gas heaters models S6000 and larger are perfectly suited for smaller regulation and metering stations. Simple to install and operate, with no hazardous chemicals, and compact design makes these units suitable for new and retrofit applications. With no moving parts or replacement components, the Freez-Fiter family of pilot and instrument gas heaters will provide years of worry free operation.
